These are the winding and twisting rapids of Great Falls on the Potomac. This is just south of the falls themselves, rushing down stream on its way past DC and down past Southern Maryland and on out into the Chesapeake and finally out into the Mid Atlantic. It’s a rush. You should see, hear, and feel it.

Of special note, this painting was a retirement gift for Mr. Carl Reynolds, one of the classiest SES (That’s a very high federal government pay grade) Office Directors, supervisors, or managers the likes of which I have ever known during my 35+ year work career with both federal and private sectors. Certainly, he was class, persona, and professionalism all the way.
